The Ram Page is a forum for members of the Angelo State University community to submit editorials on matters of interest to ASU students, faculty, and staff.  While its operations are performed by students under the guidance of the Ram Page faculty adviser, the Ram Page student editorial board makes all decisions with respect to its content. As such, the Ram Page editorial staff reserves the right to edit, return to the author for edits, or reject submissions.  Unsigned editorials express the views of the majority of the editorial board.

Opinion

If you would like to respond to our stories or express your opinion on an issue, please create a user account by signing up and filling out the relevant form on our website under the "Opinion” tab.

Submission does not guarantee publication. To be considered for publication, all letter or op-ed submissions must pass the vote of the editorial board and senior staff. During the voting process, each submission will be evaluated based on its quality and relevance in regard to our readership. Contributed opinions do not necessarily represent the opinions of the Ram Page student staff, nor should any opinion expressed in this forum be construed to represent the opinions, views, or policies of ASU, including its administration, unless expressly attributed.

All submissions will be fact-checked in accordance with industry standards regarding journalistic integrity. The Ram Page reserves the right to unilaterally edit submissions for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and structure. The Ram Page may, in its sole discretion, contact contributors for edits and clarification regarding submissions or to reject them in their entirety. All submissions are subject to applicable laws governing obscenity, libel, and privacy.

If your op-ed is selected for publication, we will notify you by email. We reserve the right to use a “submission” graphic to accompany your piece should it be approved and published. Once your op-ed has been published, it will be available on the Ram Page website.

By submitting a contribution for potential publication, a Contributor represents they are submitting their own work and such contribution is not covered by or subject to any copyright owned, held, or licensed by a third party. In addition, by submitting a contribution for publication, Contributor is granting a license for the Ram Page to host the work in perpetuity, and in so doing, Contributor waives any right to royalties or compensation arising from or related to the use of the contribution thereof.
