Graduate goalkeeper Kira Miller would make a save in the 32nd minute, her first of five in the match.

Freshman forward Hadley Coronado would bring the energy coming off the bench in the 40th minute, scoring the first goal of the match with two seconds left in the first 45-minute half. The Belles would lead 1-0 after the first half.

Miller would start her work early in the second half, making a save in the 47th minute. Miller would save two more shots in the second half as well.

Many yellow cards were handed out in the second half, with four given to the Belles and two given to the Patriots.
